D-N-A is Howard J Smith, cameraman, inventor and composer of melodic, mostly instrumental electronic music. Howard’s first synth was an EDP ‘Gnat’ and his first proper synths were the Sequential Circuits Pro-One and Roland Jupiter 6 back in the 80’s.
Living and working in Liverpool since 2020, D-N-A released his first album ‘R & R’ in 2021, followed by EPs ‘Autonomy' and ‘Variants’ and his most recent album ‘1982'. His music is influenced by a wide range of artists, from Gary Numan, Vangelis, OMD, Moroder, Jarre and Zimmer to The Beatles and Beethoven.
